Project Change Management
Get Equipped with a Game Plan
For Managing Inevitable Changes in Your Next Project
(While Minimizing Unresolved Changes that are Likely to Lead to Claims)
An element in the project that affects every project, and yet it’s often not planned for, is “Change.”
You may call it a “scope creep” or “change.” Regardless of how you name it, change is inevitable and is one of the leading causes of claims and contract disputes. Therefore, you must be prepared to manage changes in your projects.
To be successful, project managers, project controls personnel, and the entire project team must understand how to manage change and apply those concepts efficiently in a dynamically changing execution environment.
If robust change management processes are followed before the contract execution and throughout the contract lifecycle, and time and cost estimates appropriately consider risks, parties can work together to successfully deliver complex projects on a routine basis, no matter what comes their way.
With the dynamic and changing nature of projects, it’s a no-brainer that project change management is critical for project success.
Change management is one of the most important skill sets for the entire project team, both on the client and contractor sides.
Do you know ….
Change is enviable, but the question is, when change happens in your projects, how will you manage it effectively?
➡️ Do you know how to identify changes to the project?
➡️ Do you know how to prepare and review change order submittals?
➡️ Do you know how to assess the impact of changes on the project outcomes?
➡️ Do you know how to negotiate change order requests?
➡️ Do you know how to create and maintain appropriate records to support change order resolution?
If your answer to any of these questions is NO, you are not alone.
Despite the importance of Change Management in projects, you hardly find reliable resources or systemized processes in Project Change Management.
Many project professionals fill a limited role on the project and lack a holistic understanding of change management processes.
Managing changes in the projects are left to the decision-makers, who often do not have the right information to make the right decisions at the right time. In the face of uncertainty, managers tend to work to develop or simply wait for more information while impacts increase, and mitigation becomes harder.
Wouldn’t it be nice if you had clear-cut strategies to manage inevitable project changes on a timely basis?!
Wouldn’t it be nice if you were equipped with some best practices and proven tactics that could help you prepare for change when it occurs and effectively manage it to the benefit of your projects?
Interested in having a systematic process of change management in your projects?
We have developed a practical training program in Project Change Management that prepares you for the change even before it occurs in your projects.
Imagine having a “game plan” for change management in your projects!

Instructor’s Journey in Mastering Project Change Management
Mark Sanders, P.E.
I have worked on projects with changes, both large and small. I have seen change managed well, and I have seen it managed poorly. Over time, I have developed a set of concepts that I believe constitute best practices.
In parallel to direct project experience, I have spent more than 20 years participating in conversations with industry experts and in the development of best practices with personnel in countries around the world. I have worked with AACE, ASCE, EPRI, and PMI to publish those practices.
The most important thing that I have learned is that change is inevitable and constant. We cannot manage complex projects successfully without understanding how to manage change.
I will share the lessons I learned over the years in this training with you, so you are prepared for project change before contract execution and apply best practices during execution identify changes and manage changes effectively.
I believe this course will give you a holistic perspective on project change management and will make you ready to tackle project changes confidently.
